Regions & communities

Initiatives built to national scale.

Some priorities are too large for any single region to carry. National initiatives coordinate projects across states around a shared industrial, infrastructure, or economic objective — America 275 chief among them.

01

Why national

Coordination is the point.

A national initiative is not simply a large project. It is a framework that lets many projects — in different states, at different stages — advance a single priority together, so that supply chains, infrastructure, and workforce develop in step rather than in isolation.

Applied America builds these frameworks and the pipeline beneath them, giving national priorities a visible, coordinated path from concept toward delivery.

How coordination works

Many projects, one priority, advancing together.

A national platform aligns separate projects so they reinforce rather than compete.

Common questions

About national initiatives.

America 275 — a national platform for identifying, developing, and advancing a pipeline of transformative projects across American industry, infrastructure, energy, technology, and regional development.

A national initiative is a framework, not a single big project. It lets many projects in different states and at different stages advance one priority together, so supply chains, infrastructure, and workforce develop in step rather than in isolation.

Applied America builds the framework and the pipeline beneath it, convening the states, sponsors, and institutions whose projects contribute. It coordinates the effort rather than owning the underlying projects.

Projects are nominated into the pipeline, reviewed for fit against the initiative’s priorities, and then developed through defined stages. Nomination is the entry point, not a commitment that a project will proceed.

States, regions, communities, sponsors, and institutions with a credible project that advances a national priority. A nomination should show the asset, the public purpose, and the partners involved.

A willingness to coordinate — to align a project’s timing, standards, and reporting with others advancing the same priority. The commitment is institutional cooperation rather than a fixed financial contribution.

It is a long-horizon framework rather than a single funding cycle. Individual projects move on their own timelines, while the initiative sustains the coordination that keeps them advancing together.

Each project carries defined goals set during development, and outcomes are measured against them. Coordinating at the initiative level makes the overall pipeline’s progress visible rather than scattered.

Supply chains, infrastructure, and workforce develop in isolation — a plant without the power to run it, a corridor without the suppliers to fill it. Coordination is the point precisely because fragmentation is the default.

Nominate a project into the national pipeline, or partner on an existing initiative such as America 275. An early conversation helps establish whether a priority fits before a formal nomination.
