Our Network
No project sits inside one institution.
A project needs public programs, operating capability, capital, technical proof, and local standing at once, and no single organization holds all five. Applied America convenes the institutions that hold them and gives each a defined role.
What is published here
This page names no partners, and that is deliberate.
An institution’s involvement in a project is its announcement to make, not ours. Listing organizations before they have chosen to be listed would turn a working relationship into a marketing claim on somebody else’s letterhead. What is published instead is the structure: the kinds of partner a project needs, the route each one takes in, and the role definition that comes before any work.
What is asked of a partner is narrow and specific — the capability the project needs, the capacity to carry it, and a role defined before delivery begins rather than discovered during it. That is also the limit. A partner is engaged for a project, not enlisted into a portfolio.
Kinds of partner
Five contributions, five routes in.
A single project usually draws on several of these at once, which is the reason a convener exists at all.
Common questions
We do not publish a relationship before the other party has.
By registering the capabilities it brings, as a project partner or a finance partner, and being matched to a project that needs them. The role and its governance are defined before work begins, and registering does not tie an organization to a project until that definition exists.
Because naming an institution is that institution’s decision. Applied America does not publish a relationship before the other party has, and the disclosures say the same of every directory on the site: inclusion implies no affiliation, endorsement, or partnership.
No. What a partner brings is capability, capacity, and reach — delivery, capital, expertise, or local standing — and Applied America is a nonprofit division of CEFA. Nothing on this page is an offer or a solicitation.
The capability is held and matched when a suitable initiative forms, and timing follows the work rather than a schedule. In the meantime an organization’s specialists can contribute expertise directly through the network.
