Cookie Notice
Last updated · July 13, 2026
This Cookie Notice explains how Applied America (“Applied America,” “we,” “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and the Applied America OS platform, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage. They let a site remember your actions and preferences, keep you signed in, and operate securely. Cookies set by us are “first-party”; cookies set by another domain are “third-party.”
Categories We Use
Strictly necessary. Required for the site to function and cannot be switched off. These include a secure, HttpOnly session cookie that keeps you signed in to the platform and protects against cross-site request forgery. Without these the platform cannot provide access-controlled areas.
Functional / preference. Remember choices you make — such as light or dark theme and the workspace you are acting in — to improve your experience. These are not used to track you across other sites.
Consent. Records your cookie choices so we do not ask you again on every visit.
Analytics. If enabled, help us understand how the site is used, in aggregate, so we can improve it. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies to build advertising profiles.
We Do Not Sell Your Data
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use cookies for third-party behavioral advertising. Any data collected through strictly necessary and functional cookies is used only to operate and secure the platform.
Managing Cookies
You can accept or decline non-essential cookies through the consent banner shown on your first visit, and change your choice at any time by clearing this site’s cookies in your browser. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent secure sign-in and access-controlled features from working.
Third-Party Services
Where the platform integrates external services (for example, mapping or AI providers), those requests are proxied through our own servers wherever practical, so third parties do not set cookies on your device through this site. Any exceptions will be disclosed here.
Platform Activity Analytics
Inside the signed-in Applied America OS, we use first-party storage and server logs to record business and security activity — sign-in events, pages and documents opened, downloads, searches, and access requests — for security, compliance, auditability, and support. This is strictly operational; it is not advertising tracking, it is not sold, and it is described in full in our Privacy Policy and Security & Data-Retention policy. See Platform Activity Monitoring for the complete list of what is recorded and why.
Changes and Contact
We may update this Notice to reflect changes in technology, law, or our practices; the “updated” date above will change accordingly. Questions about our use of cookies may be directed to applied@thecefa.org.
